They will provide direct support services to clients seeking assistance from Salvation Army as well as receiving referrals from community partners. They must be able to network with other agencies and advocate for the clients' needs all in an effort to successfully transition into stability. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of each employee of The Salvation Army, Medford Citadel Corps, to reach out to people, without discrimination, in the name of The Salvation Army, helping to build whole people- spirit, soul and body- in the name of The Salvation Army.
Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time operating a keyboard. Ability to stand and/or be physically active for up to two hours or more at a time. Must be able to walk, run, reach and grasp with hands and arms, lift bend, and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds or more. Working Conditions: Works in an office environment with frequent interruptions, multiple deadlines, and competing priorities. Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds. Work environment includes managing projects with conflicting requirements and tight deadlines. MISCELLANEOUS: The dress code is business causal. As this position works both in an office setting and with frequent community engagement, the employee should dress appropriately for their scheduled activities that day. The Salvation Army holds a high standard for professionalism, and the dress code for employees is no exception. Supervisor: Business Operations Director Education
Bachelors of Social Work (preferred)
High School or Equivalent (required) Experience
In lieu of degree, at minimum, four years' experience in Human Services working with a diverse population of individuals and families in crisis who may be under stress. (required)
