The Digital Modernization Sector has an exciting career opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to support the US Space Force's Space Systems Command (SSC), Operational Command and Control Acquisition Delta, known as Kobayashi-Maru located in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is instrumental in providing customer-facing support for direct support personnel. This support shall include providing technical support and assistance to end users, managing IT assets and inventory, and overseeing various IT-related administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The IT Specialist may also provide aid related to the technical design, construction, and delivery of technology solutions as needed.

  • Configure and manage Azure cloud and Microsoft Intune environments.

  • Configure and manage Entra ID Joined and Entra ID Hybrid Joined devices within the GCCH Intune Tenant.

  • Configure Intune Compliance and Configuration Policies to align with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Organizational Security Baselines.

  • Configure and Debug Intune Application packages for end users to install on-demand via Company Portal or to push required applications and updates to all systems.

  • Configure, support, troubleshoot Windows and Mac Operating Systems' Intune Integration and Management Planes.

  • Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications following DoD security guidelines.

  • Provide technical support to all levels of personnel concerning the implementation and daily operations of the computer systems and individual microcomputer functions in the office.

  • Manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless access points) using DoD-approved configurations.

  • Maintain network and standalone servers, workstations, network access, security monitoring systems and system documentation as required.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum performance

  • Leverage Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) benchmark for Cyber Hygiene.

  • Maintain IT asset inventory, track hardware/software lifecycle, and ensure compliance with DoD asset management policies.

  • Provide direct multi-level Help Desk support and troubleshooting of all hardware and software.

  • Coordinates hardware and software system installation and ensures specifications are met with minimal customer impact.

  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for all desktop solutions and troubleshooting instructions in the Knowledge Databases.

  • May mentor or train other Information Technology Specialists.

  • This is not a remote or hybrid position. You will be expected to work on-site with the Government customer 5 days a week at an off-Base location in Colorado Springs, CO due to the fast pace, quick-turn nature of the job and the persistent need to access secure networks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of applicable technical experience additional years of relevant experience maybe considered in lieu of degree.

  • US Citizen, with final DoD Top Secret Clearance.

  • IAT Level II level SEC+CE certification or higher.

  • Proven hands-on experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, preferably in an enterprise environment.

  • Strong understanding of IT asset management, provisioning tools, and user account lifecycle management.

  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic network configurations.

  • Experience with the Trello board or similar project management tools.

  • Hands on experience working with Jira and Confluence.

  • Knowledge of security protocols related to account provisioning, including CAC request process and elevated account tokens.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Azure Fundamental or Associate certification.

  • Experience with MacOS (DISA STIG and Intune Integration).

  • Experience with automated software deployment methodologies.

  • Experience with PowerShell, Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI for Configuration Management, Automation and Desired State Configuration.

  • Experience with Kusto Query Language/KQL to run reports, generated from Log Analytics Workspaces and other Data Repositories.

  • Experience with Defender for Endpoint and Intune Integration.
