Work Schedule:

Hybrid - Buffalo, NY

Moog's Global Infrastructure Operations Team is looking for a skilled and proactive Azure Operations Administrator! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure that powers our global operations, enabling internal teams to deliver their services efficiently and securely.

You will work at hybrid work schedule (~three days per week) at our East Aurora, NY facility.

To qualify for the Azure Operations Administrator, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Typically, a Bachelor's Degree.

  • At least three (3) years related experience working with Microsoft Azure in an operational or engineering capacity.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work on-site; relocation assistance is not available for this opportunity.

  • Strong understanding of Azure services such as Azure AD, VMs, Resource Groups, Backup, Storage, and PaaS offerings.

  • Strong experience with OS level troubleshooting for both Windows and Linux

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

  • Solid grasp of security principles and governance in cloud environments, especially Azure Policy.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when dealing with diverse stakeholders.

It would also be great if you had...

  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104).

  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-prem integrations.

  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, CLI, or Python).

  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes is a plus.

As the Azure Operations Administrator you will...

  • Administer and maintain Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, and identity services.

  • Design and implement system performance and availability metrics, proactively identifying and resolving issues.

  • Manage ITSM queue and ensure on-time SLA attainment

  • Perform in-depth analysis on major incidents and propose solutions to eliminate or mitigate the ongoing risk.

  • Work consistently with Microsoft to understand the latest offerings.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application hosting, data services, and business continuity.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices across the Azure environment.

  • Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and effective tagging to support our CMDB.

  • Design integrations with ServiceNow to streamline workflows in Operational tasks.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed (L/L2).

  • Mentor junior members of the team who have less Azure experience.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $85,000.00-$105,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
