Job Description:
Working role that coordinates and assists the Supervisor in the Sanitation Department. The Sanitation Coordinator supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in sanitation of equipment and the facility by performing the following duties. Directly leads employees in the Sanitation department, while covering for the Supervisor and Leaders vacation and non-scheduled days including the off-shifts. Carries out Leader responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, directing, and reporting on work; implementing programs, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. The Sanitation Coordinator may be assigned to different tasks each day and will be responsible for other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Functions:
1. Supervises and directs Machine Cleaners, Building Cleaners, Helpers, Temporary and Part-Time Personnel required to meet daily and/or preventative sanitation schedules and emergency needs. Leads daily Shift Meetings.
2. Assesses/Coaches employee performance and expectations. Conducts and Processes probationary and regular employee performance reviews on a timely basis. This includes working with Supervisor in properly communicating information on policies and procedures to work group.
3. Responsible for knowing the jobs supervised, documenting SSOPs, and executing to them the highest standards of product quality, food safety, safe workmanship and customer service. Develop SSOP for new equipment and update current SSOPs, as necessary. Assist in validation of programs.
4. Assists in Scheduling completion and maintaining records for Master Sanitation Schedule for cleaning and associated procedures/task instructions in both manual and computerized systems. Tracks and assigns task items to all department shifts. Shares Master Sanitation Schedule KPIs metrics with team and prioritizes activities based on it.
5. Responsible for maintaining good, open communication channels with all departments. Works together with other departments to assist in achievement of primary plant goals and objectives. Serves as point person for cross-functional counterparts in requesting of work and emergency needs.
6. Communicates thoroughly with the previous shift regarding personnel problems, unfinished task workload, special requests or requirements, crewing shortages, schedule changes, quality issues, or any situation requiring attention.
7. Performs Sanitation Audits (for compliance to policies, SSOPs, Corrective Action Tasks, and Right First Time Metrics). Reviews collected data and analyzes sanitation problems/deficiencies relative to the plant and/or equipment. Initiates proper course of corrective action to rectify and reduce future occurrences.
8. Maintains and documents hourly attendance schedules including vacations, floating holidays, and sick time. Tracks and manages overtime hours and reason. Leads conversations for Charge Days with assistance from Supervisor.
9. Manages successful and accurate completion of Prerequisite Programs, specifically Allergens, Sanitation, Pest Control, and Environmental Monitoring. Ensures all other Quality and Food Safety Programs (for SQF, HACCP, and GMP Hygiene standards) and Personnel Safety Programs are adhered to.
10. Establishes or adjusts work procedures and schedules to meet production schedules.
11. Assembles and presents facts concerning Disciplinary Action in written form to his/her supervisor, who will assist in determination of approved disciplinary action. May assist in issuing approved disciplinary action
12. Monitors outside contractors that may be involved in performing duties that assist in completion of sanitation objectives, installation of new equipment, etc. Ensures contractors comply with all Quality and Safety requirements.
13. Interprets schedules, memos, emails and other documents and assigns duties to complete production or other essential tasks. Reviews and responds to email in a timely manner. Actively participates in all necessary meetings.
14. Conducts job specific training for new/existing employees in all plant programs (including SSOPs), audit for accuracy, and ensure compliance.
15. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve sanitation methods.
16. Work with the department manager and supervisor to assign work and follow-up to make sure work was adequately completed in a timely manner.
17. Perform visual inspections and swabbing as required by the job.
18. Supply coworkers with necessary tools and supplies
19. Ensure that all daily paperwork is filled out and enforce company policies and programs.
20. Perform daily and in-depth cleaning of all machinery, equipment and building structure.
21. Use ladders or portable stairs, safety harnesses, hoists, self-propelled aerial work platforms, water and air hoses, hand tools, power tools, housekeeping equipment, cleaning chemicals and sanitizer dilutions as needed.
22. Assigned to different tasks each day and will be responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisor.
23. Perform titrations of chemicals as required.
24. Able to demonstrate leadership skills and manage multiple tasks.
25. Demonstrate good written and verbal skills.
26. Inform supervision or management of any issues that arise immediately.
27. Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation.

Job Specifications:
* Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school preferred; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree ideal
* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability to use computer with a working knowledge of SAP Manufacturing software, Kronos TimeKeeper, and Microsoft related programs (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Work Conditions:
1. 8-12 Hour shift overtime required. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays will be required. Employees will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one-half hour lunch break.
2. Environment - Noise levels will be high, temperature will be climate controlled in some areas and equal to ambient temperature in other areas. Lighting is sufficient and floors can be slippery.

Rate of Pay: $31.35-$35.25

Hours: Shift 10PM-6AM
