Position Description

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (Level 2) to provide direct support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Cybersecurity Group within the NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate. This position will contribute to the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and tools that protect the National Airspace System (NAS) .The selected candidate will work closely with FAA engineering and architecture teams to develop and maintain cybersecurity standards, assess planned system changes for potential security impacts, and support the transition of solutions into operational environments. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, risk assessments, and executive-level briefings, as well as providing timely support for cybersecurity incident response and program reporting.

Qualifications Required:




  • Bachelor's degree in a related information technology field (may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)



  • 15-20 years of experience (Master's Degree may substitute for 3 years; PhD may substitute for 7 years)



  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-series (especially 800-53), and FIPS requirements



  • Understanding of secure configuration management and access control best practices



  • Hands-on experience with asset management systems, enterprise cybersecurity toolsets, and/or threat modeling software



  • Ability to design, develop, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT and cybersecurity tools in compliance with FAA and federal security requirements



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)




Qualifications Desired:




  • Experience working with the FAA ATO



  • Experience with federal cybersecurity programs or other high-security mission-critical environments



  • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear operational procedures and documentation



  • Familiarity with emerging cybersecurity practices such as cloud security, Zero Trust, and supply chain risk management



  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical teams
