Job Description
About the Role

Vitro Architectural Glass is seeking a CVD Process Engineer to assist with optimizing the operation of our Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Beam Coating System, Chemical Delivery System, and Environmental Control System. This role is critical to the production of high-performance coated glass for solar cell applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of CVD systems to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Analyze process data and define operational targets and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Author and update specifications for CVD systems and ensure safe handling of precursor materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, sales, marketing, and manufacturing.
  • Support training initiatives and participate in focus groups.
  • Respond to bath and CVD emergencies; some weekend and evening hours required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field with chemical processing experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a plant environment, including heat exposure near the Tin Bath.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
