OVERVIEW


Supervises and coordinates all day-to-day full cycle AP activities.


Job Functions




  • Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Oversee daily AP operations, including invoice approvals, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
  • Monitor workload distribution and provide guidance, training, and support to AP staff.
  • Review and approve payment runs (checks, ACH, and wires) in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships by resolving escalated issues and ensuring service levels are met.
  • Collaborate with procurement, accounting, and other departments to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare AP-related reports, reconciliations, and analyses for management.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including accruals and audit support.
  • Assist in the identification and development of appropriate AP operational KPIs for monthly reporting to leadership
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency within the AP function.



Job Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required) and ERP/accounting systems (experience with Dynamics365 a plus). Medius Invoice automation experience.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, team members, and management.
  • High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
