Job Summary:

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure to support enterprise applications and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, and security professionals to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance across cloud environments. A key part of your role will involve administering and enhancing IAM policies and frameworks to safeguard access to cloud resources. You will also lead initiatives to automate infrastructure provisioning and enforcing security best practices, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting a culture of operational excellence.

Essential Functions:



  • Maintain and Manage IAM administration in Google Cloud Platform
  • Develop and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Design and document standardized processes and procedures to ensure efficient operation of compute, storage, and network cloud environments.
  • Administer and maintain the compute infrastructure, user access, and performance optimization of enterprise visualization tools including Power BI, Tableau, and SAP BusinessObjects.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance across cloud environments.
  • Apply FinOps practices to monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spend, ensuring cost-effective use of GCP services.
  • Drive a data engineering strategy focused on delivering data in near real-time using serverless technologies
  • Lead the integration track of various strategic projects
  • Familiar with tools such as Python, SAP Data Services, DataFlow, DataStream, Google Cloud Functions, Spark, Google Cloud Run, SAP SLT, Google Pub Sub, and terraform.
  • Leverage DevOps and CI/CD practices to ensure the reliability and scalability of data pipelines
  • Administer and optimize Compute Engine VMs, including provisioning, patching, monitoring, and performance tuning.



Education:

Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a focus on math, statistics, computer science, information technology

Experience and Requirements:



  • Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - this is a mandatory requirement.
  • Requires 7+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform-IAM administration
  • Expert using languages such as Python, Java, or Spark
  • Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps practices
  • Expertise with DevOps and deploying and maintaining CI CD pipelines
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
  • Expert in Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, DataFlow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry Administration
  • Experience with visualization tools: PowerBi, Tableau and Business Objects
  • Experience working in Agile development environments: including sprint planning, stand-ups, and delivery of cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience withVM management, compute services, and networking in GCP.
