Join us as a Operations Coordinator in our Moorpark, CA Facility.

In this role, you will be supporting team members on the line. Ensure that the line is running at constant pace. Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost control.

Location Description:

At Pentair we've revolutionized the pool industry with innovative and high-performance pool pumps, filters, heaters, cleaners, lights, automation systems and more. We have an opening for a Production Coordinator for our Filters Department at our Moorpark, CA facility. Only offices are air conditioned, industrial ceiling fans inside warehouse.

What's in it for you?

  • The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is: $20.72 - $38.50. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs

  • 11 paid holidays each year

  • 2 weeks of paid vacation to start (accrued weekly) and prorated based on hire date.

More details about the opportunity:

  • Verify equipment & cell is ready for production before the start of every shift and before every break.
  • Monitor line for staffing, equipment function, and safe work environment.
  • Verify that the team members are following standard processes & meeting expected rates of production.
  • Train and/or designate trainee to standard processes, safety hazards, and critical to quality items.
  • Monitor quality of product to ensure compliance with established standards and product performance levels.
  • Responsible for implementation of Lean principles in his/her department(s) including audits, standard work review, time studies, and 5S standardization.
  • Must be able to perform all the operations in his/her department(s) in Takt time.
  • Fill in along production line when team members must leave the line.
  • Track production by filling out the hour-by-hour chart.
  • Watch for and identify safety and ergonomic issues, get them fixed quickly and/or suggest solutions.
  • Trains new team members on processes up to and including equipment function, Pentair processes, safety training.
  • Assign work duties when the line is down for any period of time.
  • Recognizes exemplary performance and addresses poor performance and/or minor behavioral issues.
  • Conduct ergonomic exercises at start of shift.

Position Hours/Shift:

  • 2nd shift

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

  • In order to accommodate the needs of our business, it may be necessary to change individual work schedules on either a short-term or long-term basis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to create a highly effective team environment.

  • PC literacy: Windows, Word, Excel

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.

  • High School or Equivalent (minimum)

  • 1-2 years' experience in a lead manufacturing role

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist at the waist.

  • Must be able to lift-up to 30 pounds from floor to waist.
