Responsibilities

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation. Howmet Dover Casting is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy is a world-class supplier of vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical and other high-technology industrial markets.

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic students for the 2026 summer intern program at Howmet Aerospace Dover NJ.

The program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, seminars, networking events, speaker training, and a project selected to add direct value to the business.

At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Aerospace will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any roles, and it's Howmet Aerospace's goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.

Anticipated Pay Range: $23-$26 per hour. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Ceramic Engineering, IT, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration) from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.

  • 3.0 GPA and above
  • Major in computer Science, Information Security or related field from an accredited institution
  • Prior work experience
