Are you an auto mechanic and tired of working on greasy cars? We are seeking a Production Service Technician to become an integral part of our team! The PST is responsible for completing the manufacture and testing of Vanguard Durst printers, while enhancing Vanguard Durst's products by recommending machine and/or process enhancements/improvements.

Purpose: Final assembly of printers by adding key components and testing to ensure the printer is performing properly.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and test Vanguard printers to maintain high level of quality
  • Diagnose, repair and solve issues with our printers during build process
  • Help with other functions (inventory, shipping, receiving) as needed
  • Remanufacture printers that are traded in
  • Printer installation at customer site or tradeshow assistance as needed
  • Perform on-site service as needed at customer site
  • Communicate appropriately with all elements of the enterprise to direct activities that support and deliver on our commitments
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time, and bend, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead; lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to travel for service or Tradeshow support



Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma needed, Associate degree preferred
  • Understanding of mechanics and their purpose
  • 2+ years experience in the repair of mechanics (auto/machine/industrial)
  • Able to identify, recommend, and implement effective technical repair and maintenance solutions
  • Knowledge of basic business practices and principles as they relate to our client businesses.
  • Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Able to read electrical/electronic schematics
  • Skilled in the use of electrical/electronic tools such as multi-meters
  • Understanding of basic computer software programs
  • Teamwork - help other employees accomplish the organization's goals
  • Strong self-direction capability
  • Communication - present ideas persuasively in written or oral form
  • Good collaborator, able to reach out to other components of the organization to build knowledge and to focus energy on problem analysis and solution.
  • Proven ability to contribute both creatively and analytically
