Scope of Position:

The Sr. QAD Business Analyst will be responsible for providing functional production and operational support and enhancements to business processes supported by QAD ERP and associated business applications. QAD Systems Analyst/Developer: Analyze customer requirements and write detailed specifications (and test plans) to enhance existing QAD application. Develop code per business. Work with project stakeholders.

The role reports to the Sr. ERP Applications Manager. Remote with preferred location in No. Andover, MA.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide QAD (MFG/Pro) application-level support, delivering solutions for projects and related system change requests.
  • Manage application service and change requests (problem resolution, new features, new structures, configuration settings).
  • Manage expectations with key stakeholders (Customers, PM's and Business Analysts. Etc.) as to delivery and status of the deliverables.
  • Review, analyze, construct, and modify business application systems including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
  • Understand business and technical requirements; develop, document, and implement solution designs
  • Follow and enhance established design, development, source code management, and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to training key users in support of upgrades and enhancements to QAD ERP system
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems; or related discipline is desired.
  • Minimum 7 years overall IT experience that includes: experience developing with Progress4GL.
  • Functional background with business process, several years of QAD support and configuration
  • Proven implementation / troubleshooting experience (minimum 5 years) with QAD ERP-systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working QAD eB2.1 applications module development (Required) Progress Version 10 or Above (Preferred)
  • Experience with QAD CIM load tools
  • Understanding of SDLC and IT Service Management processes, preferably ITIL.

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office at the [insert office] location three days per week (Monday - Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to remain seated/standing at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with management, coworkers, and third parties.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
  • Ability to physically move around the office and occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
