Intern Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Intern to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience in actuarial analysis, modeling, and reporting. The ideal candidate will support the actuarial team in evaluating financial risks, analyzing data, and assisting with the development of models used in ancillary insurance forecasting.

Essential Duties:



  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data for actuarial models and reports.
  • Support the development and maintenance of statistical models used for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and actuarial methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, underwriting, and risk management.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy in analysis.
  • Assist in automating processes and improving efficiency in actuarial workflows.
  • This is a remote position.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SQL, VBA) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Progress toward actuarial exams is preferred but not required.


Required Education and Experience



  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a related area of business
  • Sophomore classification or higher
  • Cumulative GPA 3.0 or better
  • A minimum of one year work experience
  • Or equivalent military experience.
