As the Duke Kunshan Admissions Specialist, you'll play a key role in bridging global education and local excellence. Based in Durham and reporting to the Associate Dean of Graduate Admissions, you'll support students from diverse backgrounds as they pursue graduate studies at Duke Kunshan University (DKU). This part-time role offers flexibility with a mix of in-person and remote work, and is contingent on DKU's active status.

Join a team that's shaping the future of international graduate education. You'll be the go-to liaison for DKU master's programs, guiding students through admissions and enrollment processes with precision and care.

What You'll Do:



  • Process graduate applications for DKU master's programs
  • Serve as a key contact for DKU prospective students and applicants, including visa support for study at Duke
  • Manage communications via the Slate Inbox for DKU and assist with Duke Graduate School programs
  • Scan and capture application materials into imaging databases
  • Evaluate applicant qualifications and submit recommendations to leadership
  • Enter and release decisions, manage checklists, deferrals, and routing in Slate or other CRM systems
  • Oversee degree verification for new students at DKU and Duke Graduate School
  • Collaborate with university departments and external partners to provide accurate program information
  • Plan and execute reports and special projects as assigned
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and compliance with FERPA and retention policies
  • Compose professional correspondence and support diverse stakeholders across Duke and DKU
  • Correspond with prospective students, applicants, and others seeking information on admissions standards, academic and non-academic programs and student activities following established procedures and precedents



Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position of USD $19.80 to USD $30.63 per hour. Final offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate's experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and market conditions.

  • Two years of postsecondary education and four years of clerical or research experience
  • OR a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience

  • Knowlege in Slate, PeopleSoft, and admissions workflows
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail


  • Strong data entry and familiarity with FERPA and data retention policies to maintain integrity and privacy of applicant records.
