Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Compensation Analyst to join our Compensation team. This role will be dedicated to supporting the Customer Operations function within our Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services business unit. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in compensation practices, deep analytical capabilities, and relevant experience in distribution center operations. This role will play a critical part in managing and optimizing step increase programs across our distribution centers, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational realities.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Compensation Support

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and partner with Compensation Consultants to support Corporate Functions with compensation strategies that reflect McKesson's values and business priorities.
  • Provide consultative guidance to HR Business Partners, managers, and senior leaders on compensation decisions, policies, and programs.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights that enhance program effectiveness and support equitable pay practices.
  • Manage and enhance distribution center step increase programs, ensuring consistency, equity, and alignment with operational goals.

Data-Driven Insights & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct in-depth analysis using compensation surveys, market research, and workforce data to develop models and scenarios.
  • Apply predictive analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic decisions.
  • Participate in salary surveys and benchmarking studies; recommend additional market intelligence sources as needed.

Job Evaluation & Market Pricing

  • Perform market pricing and job evaluations, including FLSA classification and job mapping for reorganizations or integrations.
  • Support leveling projects in collaboration with HR Business Partners and business leaders.

Project Support & Operational Excellence

  • Contribute to compensation projects such as annual compensation reviews, benchmarking initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., HRIS) to ensure data integrity and project success.
  • Review and approve compensation transactions outside of standard guidelines (e.g., promotions, adjustments, offers).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of progressive compensation experience, preferably in a large, complex organization.
  • Experience supporting distribution center operations or logistics-related functions is strongly preferred.

Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in one or more compensation areas (e.g., base pay, equity, executive, variable/sales programs).
  • Strong foundation in benchmarking, job evaluations, market research, and compensation reviews.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data analysis tools; ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align compensation strategies with organizational goals.
  • CCP certification preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$87,500 - $145,800
