Position Summary

This role is responsible for performing a variety of general accounting functions; including Fixed Assets, select General Ledger account maintenance and analysis, and banking reconciliations. Essential job functions include

Key Responsibilities:
  • This role is responsible for Fixed Assets; maintaining FAS system, maintaining internal CER system, and calculating monthly depreciation.
  • Entering journal entries into the JDE system related to Fixed Assets.
  • Publishing monthly site financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies.
  • Performs other duties and corporate finance projects as assigned by Manager.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations with variety of complexity for all accounts.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of Bank to Book activity.
  • Research and resolve questions received regarding financial statements and general ledger activity.
  • Assist with various operations of the general ledger accounting processes and activities.
  • Prepare audit schedules related to bank accounts, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.
  • Documenting internal controls and processes for accurate and timely financial reporting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Relevant accounting experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards.
  • Experience with accounting software JDE or similar ERP platform is a plus.
  • Proven ability to leverage current technology to drive process efficiency and improve accuracy
  • Advanced analytical skills in combination with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptionally well organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Advanced and demonstrated proficiency with Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, work independently and with minimal direction.
  • High energy, high ownership of work products and dedication and commitment to driving results.
  • Work on-site in Rockford, IL.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 1-3 years related work experience.
  • Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Audit Industry experience preferred.
  • Strong Mathematical Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Intermediate Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions that may be furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The base salary hiring range for this position is ($62,960-$70,830) plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
