Description

The Division of Population Behavioral Health at the Semel Institute is seeking a detail-oriented, dedicated, and responsible individual to provide research support and data administration for the 4Youth project. The 4Youth Project is a community partnered participatory research project that aims to improve prevention and early intervention mental health and social services for adolescents and young adults. 4Youth is a multisite research study at UCSF and UCLA, that will co-create with youth a mobile app to support the wellbeing of young people and be used along with peer and family navigators in schools and primary care clinics to improve access to social and emotional supports.

Under the direction of the UCLA PI, you will oversee timely data collection, entry, and database management, track completed work and missing data in an organized process; maintain databases, maintain confidentiality of study participants at all times; and handle other administrative tasks related to the research studies as needed.

Pay Range: $26.52 - $31.63 hourly

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science related field, preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel required. and working knowledge and experience with Dedoose preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in research, including knowledge of research methods and terminology
  • Knowledge of social science research, involving patient contact, consent, data collection, and data tracking
  • Experience in data entry, data checking, data management, and data analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, sometimes under pressure, and work cooperatively with other staff members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and patient information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary for maintaining the integrity of the study
  • Ability to work in a timely manner and be flexible with schedules
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot issues and questions as they arrive
