Once per semester or as needed, to repair and paint critique walls, and work tables in P+D classrooms located in the main art building (245, 249, 350, 352, 353, and 344) Once per week or as needed, organize equipment, furniture, and contents of supply closets in P+D classrooms Once every two weeks or as needed, check capacity of red disposal canisters and flammable materials lockers. Contact SRS for material removal when canisters are at or near capacity. Once per month or as needed, remove any unauthorized or outdated signage from P+D classrooms and doors Once per semester, take inventory of the following classroom equipment: Easels, taboret carts, stools, drawing horses, chairs, work tables, lamps, partition screens, AV monitors and equipment. Consult with Area Rep. on what needs to be repaired and/or replaced. Work with work-study supervisor and department accountant on ordering replacement supplies. Once per week or as needed, check classrooms and redistribute equipment to their appropriate locations with the consultation of the area representative. At each semesters end, the work-study will assist with the collection and disposal of left over classroom materials. At the beginning of each semester, provide demonstrations on how to construct basic painting stretcher supports for each painting section on the schedule keep records of the students who have observed the demonstration and hold a minimum of 6 open hours per week for students to use the P+D wood shop. The work-study will be present for open hours to assist and maintain a same, orderly work space. Once per week or as needed, organize and clean the P+D wood shop to maintain safety and usability Once per semester or as needed, take stock of wood shop supplies and consult with area representative on replacing or repairing lost, damaged, or expended materials Distribute painting students' allotment of canvas, wood, and gesso in connection with wood shop demonstration.
