North America MarComm and Design Associate Job Family Grouping: Job Family: How does this role contribute to our collective success?

We are seeking a dynamic and versatileMarketing and Communications, and Design Associateto support our North America business units, while acting as a Design support resource for the broader global Marcomm team. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring expertise in communications, marketing, content development, visual design, and marketing technology tools & platforms. The role also requires strong cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a team-first mindset, and the ability to work seamlessly with senior leaders and key stakeholders

What will you do in this role?

Marketing and Communications

  • Write and/or edit a range of external and internal materials including leadership communications, digital marketing content, broker correspondence, sponsored content, articles, announcements, press releases, interviews, bylines, social media posts/paid targeting, website and internal communications/intranet content, and award submissions.
  • Develop toolkits and best practices to support a consistent marketing and communications approach across North America business units.
  • Research, track, and assess relevant speaking engagements, industry events, awards, and press opportunities; assist with executive briefings.
  • Manage record-keeping of AXIS marketing materials and assets in market.

Media Relations

  • Contribute to media relations strategy development, planning, and execution for North America business units, and provide support for AXIS Re.
  • Help secure relevant proactive and reactive media opportunities aligned with business priorities.
  • Research and develop media talking points.
  • Compile media coverage reports as needed.

MarComm Planning, Research and Measurement

  • Contribute to overall North America marketing and communications planning and program development.
  • Liaise with partners to support implementation of events for North America business units.
  • Support marketing and communications measurement efforts through quarterly reporting, tracking effectiveness, presenting results, and identifying actionable insights.
  • Conduct research on marketing and communications best practices, competitive analyses, and benchmarking; report findings regularly.

Design and Marketing Tools & Platforms

  • Manage internal and external communications platforms such as Act-On, Foleon, and IDT to support campaign execution, stakeholder engagement, and content delivery.
  • Create, modify, and maintain marketing and communications assets using tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, and PowerPoint, ensuring brand consistency and effective visual storytelling.
  • Apply AI-powered productivity and content tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot and other company-approved generative AI platforms) to enhance marketing workflows and communications planning.

You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

About You:

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business, or a related field; a minor or demonstrated experience in design is strongly preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within a corporate environment. Insurance or financial services experience is a plus.
  • Strong writing and editing skills across a range of formats including leadership communications, digital content, press materials, and social media.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience supporting media relations efforts, including developing talking points, coordinating interviews, and compiling coverage reports.
  • Graphic design expertise including demonstrated experience in designing and modifying marketing assets, with a strong understanding of brand consistency and visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly across functions and levels, including working effectively with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-regional teams.
  • Experience liaising with senior stakeholders and building relationships grounded in trust.
  • A highly collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and contributes positively to team culture and shared goals.

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $65,000 to $75,000. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. On top of this, you will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and much more. Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is [Exempt/Non-Exempt] for FLSA purposes.
