- In this role, you will engage and
collaborate with Linde's regional businesses, global customers, OEMs, and suppliers to develop and commercialize new materials, purification technologies, delivery systems, and packaging solutions for their use in the Electronics specialty gases and advanced materials market - You will lead new product development - drive projects for new product development from concept to successful commercialization
- Design & setup experimental apparatus; plan, run, and/or execute experiments; conduct data
analysis, and create efficient presentations for communicating technical results - You will become an internal technical expert in the field of
relevant semiconductor materials - You will ensure constructive stakeholder alignment with development
partners, commercial team, and customers throughout all stages of technology development - Actively participate in internal and external
technical collaborations to identify opportunities for new products and/or development programs - Prepare invention disclosures and contribute to the
development of Linde intellectual property portfolio
What makes you great
- You will need a Ph.D. in Chemical
Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or related technology, plus 10+ years of proven track record of driving new product development and commercialization of specialty gases or precursors for the semiconductor or related industries - In-depth understanding of semiconductor wafer tool operation (etch, deposition, implant, etc.), handling of electronics materials (gases or precursors), knowledge of chemical delivery systems
- Fundamental
knowledge of physics and chemistry of dry semiconductor manufacturing processes, including plasma chemistry - Design, build, and maintenance experience of a custom vacuum or high-pressure gas system
- Demonstrated success in experimental design, data collection, interpreting results, and guiding experiments
- Proficiency in surface characterization techniques - operation of SEM, TEM, XPS, ellipsometer, FTIR, etc.
- Hands-on experience with handling of hazardous materials in R&D setting including material analysis
- Project management experience; familiarity with stage-gate process for new product development
- Ability to work independently and to be flexible in fast-pacing R&D environment with changing priorities
- Efficient verbal and written (email, technical documentation, presentation) communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork
