Summary of This Role
Proactively protect Global Payments business, contribute to the company's compliance status, and support client's ability to comply by assisting in all compliance activities which include reviewing internal processes, documents and reports from payment networks and/or other regulatory bodies, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory framework. Identify required, discretionary, business and system updates, recommend approaches and solutions that are compliant with applicable regulations while balancing proper investment pursuant to overall corporate, division and department goals. May develop and implement training plans for the effective use of Global Payments Tools & Methodologies. May engage with client and industry stakeholders to educate and influence network/scheme or regulatory strategy.
What Part Will You Play?
- The Compliance Analyst is a cornerstone of our risk management framework, responsible for safeguarding our company and clients from financial crime. This role is focused on identifying and preventing fraud, verifying the authenticity of prospective clients, and ensuring strict adherence to federal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and Know Your Customer (KYC) principles. You will be a key partner to our Onboarding and Sales teams, ensuring a secure and efficient client acquisition process.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective clients by analyzing complex corporate documents (e.g., articles of incorporation, operating agreements) to identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and verify corporate structures.
- Perform in-depth research and analysis on clients who present a higher risk profile, meticulously documenting all findings and escalating cases to senior management and Legal when necessary.
- Read, interpret, and apply federal regulations related to AML and KYC to ensure all due diligence processes remain compliant.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, coordinating with Legal, Sales, and Onboarding teams to resolve diligence-related inquiries. Act as the primary point of contact for third-party due diligence vendors.
- Develop and deliver training materials to internal teams on due diligence best practices, fraud prevention, and compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed, organized records of all research, findings, and client communications. Prepare and present metrics on due diligence activities and outcomes.
- Execute periodic processor audits and quarterly sanctions screenings (e.g., OFAC) to ensure ongoing compliance across our client base.
- Reviews documentation from and develops an expertise in at least 1 or more payment networks and/or other regulatory bodies (i.e. Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, etc.) to identify required business and system updates. Recommends routine and occasionally non-routine approaches and/or solutions that are compliant with applicable regulations while balancing proper investment pursuant to overall corporate, division and department goals. Demonstrates a general knowledge of processing platforms, downstream services/products and potential client impacts to processes and business operations while documenting business compliance requirements.
- Administers the compliance work stream of at least 1 or more initiatives/projects to ensure adherence to department, division, and corporate disciplines and methodologies while maintaining compliance to reporting standards/requirements and proper usage of escalation. Works in close liaison with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure basic technical solutions correctly encapsulate the identified compliance/business requirements.
- Collaborates with the internal Product team to determine the application of legal/regulatory/card brand requirements and ensure optional/user requirements support strategic direction while preserving compliance as they pertain to existing basic to moderately complex products.

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of federal AML/KYC regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Corporate Transparency Act).
- 3+ years of professional experience in a due diligence, KYC, compliance, or risk management role.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal and corporate documents to determine ultimate beneficial ownership (UBO).
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional note-taking ability.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SaaS, CRM, and the FINTech industry.
