JOB TITLE:RECRUITER DEPARTMENT:HUMAN RESOURCES REPORTS TO:DIRECTOR OF HR CLASSIFICATION:FULL-TIME Job Summary: The Recruiter will play a key role in driving Platform Aerospace's talent acquisition efforts to support the growth of our engineering, production, and business operations teams. This role is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to coordinating interviews and extending offers. In addition, the Recruiter will provide support with onboarding and other HR administrative duties to ensure a seamless experience for new hires and consistency in HR processes. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting for technical roles and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process across multiple departments (engineering, production, operations, business development, and administration).
- Partner with leadership to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Source qualified candidates through job boards, networking, employee referrals, career fairs, and targeted outreach.
- Conduct initial screenings, coordinate interviews, and facilitate candidate communications.
- Conducts or acquires background checks, drug-screening, reference checks, and employment eligibility verifications
- Provide a positive candidate experience by representing Platform Aerospace's values and mission throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and generate recruitment reports as needed.
- Assist with internship program coordination and school partnerships to support future talent pipelines.
- Support onboarding activities, including preparing new hire documentation, coordinating orientation, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Provide assistance with HR administrative duties such as maintaining employee records, compliance tracking, and supporting audits.
- Collaborate with HR team members on continuous improvement of recruiting, onboarding, and HR processes.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, job boards, and industry events.
- Coordinate with external recruiters and staffing agencies as needed.
- Accurately input and manage employee data within HR and benefit platforms to support enrollment, updates, and offboarding.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
- May assists with planning and execution of special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma and 2-5 years of recruitment experience, or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (e.g. pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development)
- Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, knowledge of HRMS is a plus
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Ability to traverse manufacturing facility
