HJF is seeking a Clinical Trials Administrator to support clinical research and education programs at the VHA Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits Center of Excellence (AHBPCE). This position provides high-level support for the development, coordination, and execution of clinical research and education projects, helping to advance care for Veterans with exposure-related health concerns. Serves as an expert resource for study design, protocol management, and project execution.

This position will be in support of the New Jersey War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (NJ WRIISC) and it's sub-centers, the VHA Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits Center of Excellence (AHBPCE), and Exposure-Related Care Transformation (EXPRT) Center. Research activities broadly cover post-deployment health conditions attributable to military environmental exposures. NJ VA WRIISC is a national post-deployment health resource for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). WRIISC develops and provides post-deployment health expertise to Veterans and their health care providers through research activities as well as through its specialty clinical programs, education, and risk communication.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike.Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.

This position is contingent upon contract award.



  • Proactively identify funding and support opportunities for clinical research and education initiatives.
  • Track opportunities and maintain timely correspondence with stakeholders.
  • Assist researchers in developing proposals, protocols, and project materials for sponsor submission.
  • Coordinate communication with sponsors and collaborators.
  • Plan and participate in site feasibility activities to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with researchers, directors, and staff to develop study protocols, project management tools, and staffing plans.
  • Support program operations by coordinating among stakeholders and monitoring progress.
  • Organize and attend meetings with researchers, program directors, staff, sponsors, and collaborators.
  • Prepare meeting materials, maintain notes, and track action items to ensure follow-up.
  • Serve as a key liaison between leadership and research teams, ensuring smooth execution of program goals.
  • Provide expert guidance on program operations, compliance, and documentation.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree required in a clinical specialty or related field.
  • Minimum of nine (9) years of professional experience in clinical research administration or a related field
  • Deep understanding of clinical research operations, protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational and project management skills


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with researchers, program directors, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of protocols and policies and procedures associated with them.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Clearance, including background check and drug screening


Physical Capabilities



  • Lifting: Requires lifting materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.


Work Environment



  • This position will take place primarily in a clinic, laboratory, or hospital setting.


Compensation



  • The annual salary range for this position is $88,600-$150,800. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
