Position Title: Material Handler
Wage: $18.85/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm-1am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Material Handler for a company in Lake Mills, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained; report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety - Adhere to all safety policies and procedures - Demonstrate good manufacturing practices - Verify materials received against purchase requisition - Transport materials and items from receiving and/or to designated areas using a forklift or hand truck - Cross trained on production positions (cutter, palletizer, dumper, relief operator) to be able to fill in for production employees on vacation or call ins - Maintain Assembly Warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of material - Determine material needed, material location, and proper destination - Release material to production area - Notify supervisor of low inventory supply - Operate forklift to lift heavier material and equipment, which needs to be transported - Periodically, take inventory of material equipment, which needs to be transported - Assist with basic production needs - Ensure paperwork and data input into the computer system (SAP) is accurate - Rotate stock in proper order Material Handler Requirements: - 1 year of experience with forklift - Follow PPE requirements: steel-toed work shoes, ear plugs, hard hat, safety glasses, apron, cut resistant gloves QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
