The HR Compliance Associate provides essential support to the Compliance team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to begin a career in human resources and compliance, offering hands-on exposure to regulatory processes, employee relations, and organizational policy management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes but is not limited to
  • Assist in maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures and compliance documentation.
  • Support the administration of FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) and other leave-of-absence programs.
  • Manage correspondence, organize files, and prepare reports for compliance audits and reviews.
  • Manage I-9 employment eligibility verification, including timely completion, reverification, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor labor law poster updates and ensure timely distribution across all locations.
  • Assist with unemployment claims and employment verifications.
  • Provide administrative support for compliance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and communicate updates to the team

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience, preferably in HR or compliance.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and document management.
