Job Overview

The Search Engine Optimization Category Specialist plays a hands-on, strategic role within the growing in-house SEO team. They partner with the Senior SEO Content Manager to drive organic growth by planning and executing strategic initiatives. The specialist collaborates closely with site merchandising and technology teams across multiple business units, providing SEO guidance for site changes. They bring expertise in both on-page and off-page SEO for e-commerce and demonstrate a strong track record of building cross-functional relationships and managing complex workflows.

What You Will Do



  • Collaborate with the SEO Senior Manager to drive organic growth through strategic planning and execution.
  • Partner with site merchants to develop a search experience informed by data and customer behavior.
  • Ensure SEO best practices are implemented in collaboration with site merchants to create an optimal search experience for users.
  • Work with the SEO team and agency to analyze data and identify issues and opportunities across the assigned business category.
  • Prepare and maintain insightful reports for internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to cross-functional strategies and initiatives involving SEO, PR, SEM, Social, and Creative teams.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills and effectively communicate complex SEO concepts to non-SEO audiences.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.



Skills You Will Need

Collaboration: Skilled in working with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive organic growth through strategic planning and execution.

SEO Implementation: Proficient in ensuring consistent application of SEO best practices across merchandising to optimize user search experience.

Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze SEO data and identify issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Reporting: Skilled in preparing clear and actionable SEO reports for internal teams and key stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Strategy: Experienced in contributing to integrated marketing strategies involving SEO, PR, SEM, Social, and Creative teams.

Communication: Ability to clearly explain complex SEO concepts to non-SEO audiences with strong verbal and written skills.

Project Management: Highly organized self-starter with excellent project and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

E-Commerce SEO Expertise: Deep understanding of SEO specific to e-commerce platforms and strategies.

Analytical Tools: Experienced with SEO analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics.

SEO Platforms: Skilled in using SEO tools including Screaming Frog, Botify, SEOClarity, and Google Search Console.

Data Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience in Microsoft Excel or similar applications for data-driven decision making.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3+ years of experience in SEO either in-house or at an agency/consultancy.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
