JOB TITLE: Packaging Coordinator JOB TYPE: Advanced Level General Labor LOCATION: Hanover, Pennsylvania GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Packaging Coordinator, under the general supervisor of the Production Supervisor will assist Packaging Machine Operators with machine issues and define whether the gaps are machine or people/training related. Will provide training and support to PMO's as needed. Will provide recommendations for production runs on machines and alternative solutions as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist PMO's with machine troubleshooting issues during shift daily. * Works with the Maintenance to fix machine issues. * Maintains Formers daily. * Trains PMO's and Packers current and new as needed. * Conduct meetings with PMO's as needed. * Checks scales, baggers, and production distribution systems daily. * Coordinate schedule with supervisor daily. * Monitors supply levels, notifies packaging material handler when supplies are needed. Brings bag film into packaging room and stages for production. * Monitors workflow of the packaging room throughout the shift. Assigns and reassigns job duties according to production schedule and workflow; maintains proper communication with packaging room department supervisor. * Assists supervisor in deploying packaging labor resources. * Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection; assists in keeping packaging room clean, neat, and orderly. Keeps packaging room aisles and exits free from obstructions; neatly stacks and stores all materials in designated places; follows instructions for safe lifting and carrying various sizes, shapes, and weights of objects; identities/reports defective equipment; reports all job-related injuries to supervision. * Trackers work orders and works as a liaison between supervisor, Packing Machine Operators, and maintenance. * May do other trainings as needed. * Required to arrive 30 minutes prior to shift start up. * May fill in for supervisor level as needed. * Mandatory overtime may be required. * May perform other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. Experience: 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required. Compensation: $32.95 Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
