Hours:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Monday-Friday) Hybrid

Compensation:

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $94160 - $124762. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Sourcing Manager!

The Sourcing Manager position plays a vital role in the sourcing of materials required for the production of S&C products. The Sourcing Manager oversees a portfolio of material suppliers and serves the needs of internal customers for the acquisition of industrial materials, components, and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with departmental leaders to implement a global sourcing strategy for the categories/commodities based on industry and market trends and conditions and continue to assess in the medium/long term (3-5 years) horizon.
  • Support the Global Sourcing team in fulfilling the category management strategy, including determining appropriate suppliers, supporting contract negotiations, handling escalations from the Buyers, and other activities to deliver best-in-class service to stakeholders by reducing the overall cost, improving quality, and improving supplier on-time delivery.
  • Experience in managing categories like wire harnesses, electronic component distributors, batteries, switches and relays and having deep understanding of the electronics market, semiconductor ecosystem and the entire component life cycle.
  • Develop and execute strategies for acquiring electronics components, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring supply continuity.
  • Ensure new product development projects are delivered on-cost, on-time, and without cost of failure driven by supply-side issues.
  • Use sourcing tools and handle appropriate RFI, RFP, RFQ to participate in the formal evaluation process to support supplier selection decisions jointly made with the Sourcing Manager.
  • Control the critical review file and act as an interface between S&C planning and suppliers in executing priorities to eliminate timely customer escalations.
  • Participate in idea-generation activities within the team. Review implementation progress of new ideas to ensure cost-saving targets are delivered within deadlines.
  • Participate in audits with the Quality Assurance team and external auditors, ultimately ensuring consistent quality in the supplier base.
  • Stay up to date with and communicate suppliers' capacity, capabilities, products, and technologies, ensuring that key decision-makers are informed when selecting suppliers.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience working in a supplier management role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes for industrial products and components, including electronics components, both passive and active.
  • Ability to lead project teams and provide direction to cross-functional project groups.
  • Great critical thinking, organizational, planning and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources, creative problem-solving when obstacles arise, and juggling a heavy volume of diverse operational/tactical projectsto deadlines and budgets.
  • Great interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
  • Sound communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation) able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from leadership to support staff. Ability to influence leaders toward making sound supply management decisions.
  • Sound business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve difficult issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources to maximum effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience working with EMS Component Distribution and OEMs.
  • Demonstrated experience using Oracle Sourcing functions.
  • Certified in Supply Management (CSM)
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
