Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer for Product Manager Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) within PEO Missiles and Space (PEO MS), and will be responsible for providing technical support to the Counter UAS (C-UAS) Chief Engineer and the C-UAS Interceptor Product Manager. Will serve as a Systems Engineering SME responsible for providing technical support and leadership in weapon systems design, development, acquisition, integration, fielding, and sustainment. Will use Digital Engineering tools to manage cost, schedule, and performance for assigned Engineering activities within the C-UAS Product Office, and will provide technical guidance to peer and subordinate Government or Contractor Systems Engineers within PM C-UAS. Candidate will be required to support the development of C-UAS System of Systems Engineering requirements, integrated master schedules, strategic roadmaps, and milestone and technical documentation for contract requirements packages and various contracting and acquisition strategies. Candidate will be required to interface with internal PMs across PEO MS and external organizations to include Army Futures Command, multiple Cross-Functional Teams, HQDA, ASA(ALT), RCCTO, ATEC, AMCOM, and others for coordination and synchronization of C-UAS technical and programmatic objectives. The candidate will prepare and present technical and programmatic briefings to PM C-UAS management, team members, and stakeholder organizations in matters related to Systems Engineering topics. Work within and/or lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve program goals. Perform other tasks as assigned by APM and Lead Engineer for Interceptor Team.

As a CUAS System Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Systems Engineer in PM C-UAS
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in developing System of Systems Engineering requirements for C-UAS, Integrated Master Schedules, strategic roadmaps, and milestone and technical documentation for Army contract requirements packages
  • Provide technical support in the design, development, acquisition, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment of C-UAS capabilities
  • Use Digital Engineering tools to manage the cost, schedule, and performance of assigned C-UAS Engineering activities
  • Interface with internal PMs across PEO MS and external organizations to include Army Futures Command, multiple Cross-Functional Teams, HQDA, ASA(ALT), RCCTO, ATEC, AMCOM, and others to coordinate C-UAS technical and programmatic objectives
  • Prepare and present technical and programmatic briefings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct strategic planning and coordination to support PM C-UAS programmatic objectives

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline
  • 3-10 years of direct experience in systems engineering, preferably in defense or aerospace
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and verification/validation
  • Proficiency in developing technical briefs and documentation
  • Experience in requirements management and systems integration
  • Familiarity with radar, electromagnetic warfare, or kinetic defeat technologies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or related STEM field
  • 10+ years supporting DoD weapon systems or programs
  • Previous experience working within an Army Program Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
