Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Sales Representative is responsible for selling power distribution products and services to new and existing clients for our Power Management division throughout San Antonio and Austin, TX region.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and interface with them on a daily basis
  • Focus on customer service and selling power distribution products and services to the commercial sector in a designed territory
  • Build ongoing personal and professional relationships with customers by performing weekly site visits
  • Prepare competitive quotes and proposals consistent with winning trends in the marketplace
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Prepare weekly call reports, and dashboards to track and forecast opportunities utilizing CRM software
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
  • Meet or exceed sales goals
  • Plan sales work on a long-term basis by setting quotas on calls made to potential and current clients and the potential of sales for each established account
  • Develop new accounts for continued sales growth
  • Travel through assigned territory

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to Four years of sales experience in a technical or industrial setting required
  • Technical expertise in Data Centers, Heavy Commerical, and Industrial recommended
  • Preferred experience in power distribution, including switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, transformers, and relays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer concerns effectively
  • Proven track record in field service sales and customer service success
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to close deals
  • Results-oriented self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in CRM software and other technology tools for sales planning and communication
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver's license
