Position Description

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

About the Department and/or College

The School of Law has approximately 459 students and 41 full-time faculty members. The School of Law is an integral part of the University and offers a robust curriculum including nine clinics and ten dual-degree programs. The School of Law has a strong student-centered focus and is committed to a practical education designed to produce skilled, knowledgeable graduates.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Provide administrative support for the Law School's Senior Director of Development to include scheduling meetings, scheduling alumni engagement and donor stewardship visits, and coordinating travel plans.
  • Establish and build relationships with a wide range of alumni and donors including maintaining regular communication via direct phone and email outreach.
  • Prepare correspondence in area of stewardship to include donor acknowledgments, thank you letters, solicitation letters, etc. as assigned.
  • Maintain and update donor information in the database (Advance), including biographical information updates, requesting and preparing various lists, and updating spreadsheets.
  • Aid at various Law School events that support development and external relations efforts, including the Scholarship Gala, Tailgate, Graduation, Alumni Receptions, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Development to promote smooth operations of the Law School's development and external relations efforts.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for the required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to multitask; have excellent organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Suite.
