DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Provide leadership and direction to the operational and functional planning activities for the ambulatory care front-end revenue cycle. Identify and develop new workflows and functionality within the front-end Cerner Revenue Cycle system to improve patient access. Lead the provision and ongoing improvement of ambulatory front-end revenue cycle processes to improve the end-user experience. Lead the development of processes within the front-end revenue cycle that will improve the patient experience. Inform and communicate ambulatory needs regarding planning/design/development of front-end Cerner Revenue Cycle functionality and strategic initiatives. Direct strategies for long-range access planning and management by addressing changes in regulatory, payor-related, and other large initiative implementation requiring collaboration and coordination with multiple departments. Direct activities, track and identify trends related to the front-end and pre-visit registration, time of service arrival activities, and post-visit work queue and hold bill generation. Investigate complex Cerner Revenue Cycle system and clinic process issues to maximize revenue opportunities and internal improvements with workflow efficiencies. Oversee personnel management of Ambulatory Central Team and Service Coordinators including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and approving termination. Lead, develop, and mentor all ambulatory care Service Coordinators and Central Team. Prepare Ambulatory KPI reports; advise on data information to pull to get results and analyze data. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Foster collaborative relationships with all health system stakeholders. Oversee the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care across units. Direct the implementation and oversight of MU Health Care time and attendance policies and practices. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Five (5) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or ambulatory operations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
