Description
Youth Engagement & PASS Coordinator
Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. | Beverly YMCA About the Role
The YMCA of the North Shore is seeking a Youth Engagement & PASS Coordinator to support teens both inside and outside the classroom. This unique role combines direct work with high school students in the Positive Alternatives to Student Suspension (PASS) program with community leadership through our Drug-Free Communities (DFC) initiative. Roughly half your day will be spent directly engaging with students in the PASS program through mentoring, tutoring, and recreational activities. The rest of your time will focus on youth coalition work-helping young people build leadership skills, promoting healthy choices, and amplifying youth voices through outreach, events, and social media. If you are passionate about youth development, restorative practices, and building healthier communities, this is the role for you. What You'll Do
Mentor and support PASS participants daily through academics, recreation, and restorative practices
Coordinate safe student transportation and maintain program structure
Facilitate youth coalition activities, including monthly regional meetings and peer leadership development
Create social media, newsletters, and outreach materials to showcase coalition initiatives
Collect and report data for grant compliance and program accountability
Support summer programming with project-based learning and activities
Represent the YMCA at community events and partner meetings

Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field, or enrollment in a program for public health, psychology, education, counseling, or human services (Bachelor's preferred)
Experience working with teens in academic, mentoring, or youth development settings
Knowledge of restorative justice, youth engagement strategies, and social-emotional learning
Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
Flexibility for occasional evenings, mornings, and weekends
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Work Environment & Requirements
Active role with both classroom and recreational responsibilities
Ability to walk, stand, and supervise youth for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry program supplies up to 20 lbs
Must remain alert and responsive in dynamic environments
