Internship Summary

The Operations Control Center (OCC) Intern will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making within the organization. This position will focus on compiling, analyzing, and reporting data related to gate errors while identifying trends and process improvement opportunities. The intern will also collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital projects, particularly those related to system enhancements and operational efficiency.

Internship Details:

  • This is a 10 Week Summer Internship Program starting on May 26, 2026 and ending July 31, 2026.
  • CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and compile operational data related to gate errors and related metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop reports and visual dashboards to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Partner with OCC team members on capital projects, particularly those involving systems development or enhancement.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements by documenting procedures and helping track performance impacts.
  • Participate in meetings and present data-driven insights to OCC leadership and other departments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in operations, logistics, or systems improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Anticipated graduation within a year after the end of the internship
  • Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.25 (based on a 4-point scale)
