JOB MISSION:

Performs a wide variety of tasks related to material handling that supports the manufacturing, shipping and consolidation of raw materials and or finished goods. Related tasks include but not limited to processing of work orders, troubleshooting and fact finding, managing inventory, interacting with key internal customers, and processing and documenting appropriate paperwork and schedules pertaining to shipments, inventory, and deliveries.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Sort, pack, move and deliver materials and supplies in a timely manner to designated areas
  • Processes work orders/requests/fill tickets and is able to identify errors
  • Orders supplies as necessary to ensure stock and restock inventory/stockroom levels
  • Operate various machines for processes including RF Scanners, Insert Cutting, Stamping, Heat Transfer, Pallet Jacks, Fork Trucks and Stackers
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve material and delivery issues and proper follow up with all affected departments
  • Continuously look to improve methods, practices and procedures and correct any quality issues within their position
  • Associates with experience in one or more line positions, may as needed, be asked to fill that line position to fill in on a short term basis.
  • Experienced associates are required to fill in and/or rotate through their previous position as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 plus years of experience preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, proper use of powered equipment, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural instructions and the ability to communicate effectively with others. Must be a team player and an ability to work in a team environment!
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be familiar with standard NB practices and procedures and basic to intermediate computer operations.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Able to move throughout the facility, lifting moderate to heavy amounts of weight and involves walking, pushing and pulling of material/supplies
  • Standard 40-hour workweek applies; willing to adjust work schedule to meet a reasonable amount of overtime based on business need
  • Use of personal protective equipment is required
  • Good manual dexterity skills (eye, hand and feet coordination)
  • Ability to stand and balance throughout an 8-hour shift; moving from role to role or sedentary standing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of weight
