Summary/Objective:

Oversees and optimizes the performance of the factory service and parts departments with primary focus of expansion into direct to retail strategies. This role focuses on maximizing profitability, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency within these areas. Responsible for setting financial goals, developing marketing strategies, and implementing process improvements to enhance performance.

Essential Functions:

  1. Primary Duty: the principal, main, major, or most important duty of this position is to Oversee operational excellence initiatives, including the development and refinement of P&L structures to support financial transparency and performance.
  2. Partner with marketing to lead the creation and implementation of marketing strategies tailored to retail product offerings, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and market trends.
  3. Design and manage pricing strategies that optimize profitability while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
  4. Create and manage technician compensation plans, incorporating retail and warranty-based incentives to drive productivity and service quality.
  5. Establish and monitor technician performance KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement.
  6. Evaluate and recommend facility expansion or acquisition opportunities, including lease options such as the Lazy Days facility in Florida, to support strategic growth.
  7. Design and implement a standard operating procedures for various operational processes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  8. Provide leadership and support for facility start-up operations across multiple locations, ensuring successful launches and adherence to company standards.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid environment between service centers and office
  • May sit for several hours at a time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Automotive Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in fixed operations, retail product strategy, or automotive service environments.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, financial modeling, and operational budgeting
  • Experience designing technician pay plans and incentive structures that drive performance and align with warranty and retail service goals
  • Experience evaluating facility expansion, acquisition, and leasing opportunities, including site selection and startup execution
  • Skilled in establishing and tracking technician performance KPIs to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency

  8. Communication & Collaboration- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has the following positions reporting to it Director of Service Operations.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work in a standard office environment with frequent use of computers, phones, and other office equipment. Occasional travel required to retail and service facilities, including site visits for start-ups, expansions, and operational assessments. Must be able to walk, stand, and move through service areas, including shop floors and technician workspaces, for extended periods during facility visits. May occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds during facility setup or inspections. Ability to observe and assess technician work environments, which may include exposure to noise, temperature variations, and automotive equipment. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be 30% of the role.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in fixed operations, retail service management, or automotive operations with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, automotive management, operations or related field

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
