Dietitian - Per Diem

Position Summary:

Plans and delivers nutritional care to patients according to the physician's diagnosis. Performs as a member of the multidisciplinary care team. Exercises professional judgment. Conducts and monitors clinical nutrition performance improvement plans of the Food & Nutrition Services Department. Oversees all clinical nutrition staff and ensures compliance with Department policy and regulatory agencies.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Required)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals.
• Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physician/licensed practitioner.
• Conduct monthly inspections of the Dietary Services Department.
• Document patient charts with nutritional planning, and update as changes in nutritional needs occur.
• Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
• Other duties as assigned.
