DHL Same Day is DHL Global Forwarding's global time critical & white glove service. With our flexibility of services meeting the emergency shipment needs of a wide range of industries, whether it's the extensive database of aircraft parts we maintain for our Aircraft On Ground clients, or expediting mission-critical parts globally for our Semiconductor and Automotive clients, or the ability to meet time-critical temperature-sensitive needs unique to Life Sciences and clinical trial logistics, DHL Same Day gets the shipment there, when it has to be, for any business or organization.

Overall Role Purpose

The Procure-To-Pay specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement and payment processes within DHL Same Day. This role ensures accurate, timely and compliant processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments while maintaining and adhering to global PTP policies and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

* Review, validate, and process vendor invoices in compliance with company policies and tax regulations.

* Ensure proper coding of invoices and resolve discrepancies.

* Maintain and update vendor records ensuring accuracy and compliance.

* Address vendor inquires and resolve payment issues promptly.

* Monitor purchase orders for accuracy and match with invoices received.

* Collaborate with procurement teams to resolve discrepancies.

* Prepare and execute payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, checks etc.)

* Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.

* Adhere to internal controls and company policies during the procure-to-pay cycle.

* Support audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

* Analyze data to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Role Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

* 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., S21, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

* Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., VAT, WHT).

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
