Lab Assistant

The Department of Medicine is seeking a motivated Lab Assistant to join our research team. In this role, you will work closely with the Lab Manager and study team members to support ongoing research activities. You will receive clear oral and written protocols, and it will be your responsibility to ensure a thorough understanding of assigned tasks and procedures. Careful documentation of experimental work and results in both physical and electronic laboratory records is essential, as these will be regularly reviewed by your supervisor. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative research environment.

Hourly range: $19.90-$23.04

Required:

• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols
• Understanding of basic laboratory techniques
• Working knowledge of laboratory equipment
• Ability to communicate verbally and to understand and carry out verbal instructions. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively to receive and convey information accurately and in a professional manner
• Be well organized, keep neat and detailed records
• Ability to modify work schedule to meet changing demands
