SUMMARY


The Manufacturing Associate demonstrates cooperation with and commitment to quality and safety standards and continuous improvement as the fundamental basis of the manufacturing process. Supports production goals by adhering to written procedures, ensuring related documentation is legible and complete, and having the ability and willingness to follow all protocols. Processes include equipment operation, hand assembly, measurement, as well as long periods of sitting, standing, and/or lifting and repetitive movements.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Meets or exceeds minimum production quotas.
  • Assembles products as instructed and demonstrates increasing competence, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Keeps production station clean and organized and fulfills department housekeeping duties according to policy.
  • Responsible for learning the processes and equipment for multiple production stations and passing required testing to demonstrate competency.
  • Notifies management of low inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
  • Reports non-conforming parts to management accurately and promptly.
  • Records production and quality data legibly and diligently, with attention to detail.
  • Communicates about equipment malfunctions with maintenance immediately.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately and with urgency and follows safety protocols accordingly.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS



  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Willing and able to learn multiple operations throughout the production process.
  • Mechanically inclined and be capable of performing minor preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Dedication to high quality and safety standards and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic by arriving at work prior to the start of shift, earnestly maintaining a high level of productivity, executing tasks with care, and taking pride in a job well done.
  • Willing to be accountable.
  • Willing to work in a very dynamic cultural environment and be a team player.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions/instructions.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Previous assembly/manufacturing experience
