Job Overview:

The Level III Revenue Cycle Liaison will serve as a resource for the Level I and Level II Liaisons to guide and support the team through KPI analysis and root cause resolution. The primary goal of the Revenue Cycle Liaison is to ensure practice satisfaction, accountability, and operational support as it relates to the success of the Revenue Cycle. In addition to serving as a point of contact for assigned practices, the ideal candidate has strong multitasking and analytical skills, and is driven by moving metrics to achieve success. The Level III Revenue Cycle Liaison performs without assistance, is recognized as a resource to others, is able to translate complex nuances to others and able to improve processes with a focus on broad issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5 - 8 years experience in healthcare operations or accounting/financial practices
  • Proficient in all MS Office Products
  • Advanced Skills MS Excel Required
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • HFMA Membership with Certified Healthcare Financial Professional CHFP required within 1 year of hire

Preferred:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time, Day, Hourly - 37.5 hours a week
  • Travel to Oceanport, NJ and other Hospital sites as needed

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains current knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management for both Physician and Hospital Billing.
  • Utilizes this knowledge to develop a relationship with internal and external teams ensuring clear communication and alignment on objectives.
  • The Revenue Cycle Liaison will use their advanced knowledge of Revenue Cycle to function independently, determining opportunity and need for, scheduling, and leading multidepartment strategic meetings as it relates to physician registration, billing and coding accuracy and opportunity for denial trending and reduction planning.
  • The Liaison is responsible for fact finding, the creation of the agenda, driving productive resolution focused discussion, summarizing, and sending notes with next steps.
  • Collaborates with department leadership to strategize on how to approach tasks at the organizational level.
  • Keeps track of and structures team tasks and documents for ease in execution.
  • The Liaison Level III applies their advanced knowledge of Revenue Cycle with their skills and experience to bring strategic insight to the team and organization.
  • Develop and maintain departmental documents, reports, and files.
  • Develop and maintain departmental documents, reports and files in order maintain standard formats.
  • Prepares and presents documents that indicate trending and KPI success rate to Revenue Cycle leadership partners.
  • Provides oversight for and coordinates monthly report out with team.
  • Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
  • Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors.
  • Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc,
  • Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions.
  • Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department, objectives, policies and procedures.
