Position Summary

The Mattox Sculpture Center needs two reliable students to assist in organizational tasks, projects and upkeep at the Mattox Sculpture Center. This position will involve developing skills in lab management, tool maintenance, and shop practices. 10 - 20 hours per week.

Duties include:
General shop clean-up.
Assisting Lab Manager in maintaining tools & equipment.
Assisting Lab Manager with loading & unloading materials.
Assisting Lab Manager in moving equipment and furniture.

Required Qualifications
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to obtain a Medical Clearance Form, (MCF) from Student Health and Counseling, (SHAC) for fit testing and use of N95 or half-face respirator.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous wood or metal shop experience
Knowledge of wood or metal shop safety standards
Knowledge of tool function and anatomy
