Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer

STS Technical Services is hiring a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer in Westminster, Colorado.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to join their manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for RF circuits, modules, and systems across all phases of the development process. The ideal candidate will be proficient in board-level schematic design and PCB layout of RF circuits, system-level communications concepts such as link budgets and modulation schemes, and end-to-end RF product development.

This position includes extensive work on phased array communication systems, including RF front ends, frequency converters and synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas. The successful candidate will also deliver engineering design reviews to customers and executives, and contribute to proposal-writing efforts, making strong written and verbal communication skills essential.

• Design, analyze, and test RF circuits, modules, and systems from concept through production
  
• Develop board-level schematics and PCB layouts for RF circuits
  
• Apply system-level communications concepts, including link budgets and modulation schemes
  
• Work on phased array communication systems: RF front ends, frequency converters, filters, beamformers, and antennas
  
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and executive leadership
  
• Contribute to proposal-writing efforts to support new business opportunities
  

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from an accredited institution; Master of Science (MS) preferred
  
• Minimum of 9 years of industry experience in design and analysis of RF electronics and systems
  
• Expert proficiency with simulation tools such as CST and ADS, and EDA tools such as Altium
  
• Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

• Proficiency in Python or other programming languages
  
• Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification experience
  
• Familiarity with worst-case circuit analysis, failure mode and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis
  
• Antenna design experience
  
• EMI/EMC design and mitigation expertise
