Will be responsible for assembling devices for multiple clinical applications. The assembly of all components and sub-assemblies will be performed using drawings, bills of materials, and written instructions. Fabrication work will involve precise polishing and alignment of optical components. Will also be responsible for testing and troubleshooting all sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure that established quality standards are met.

Essential Functions
-Assemble and pressure test devices.
-In collaboration with senior staff or Principal Investigator write experimental protocols and document methods and results in accordance with standard laboratory processes with close attention to detail.
-Collect and record study data, synthesize and interpret information obtained from graphs, charts, laboratory experiments, statistical summaries and other data collection methods.
-Prepare written reports on research status, technical procedures, and research protocols. Must maintain a laboratory notebook with detailed description of experiments, statistical and graphic summaries of findings and possible conclusions
-Prepare and present informal and formal reports for group and lab meetings.
-Maintain and order supplies for the entire lab and implement lab safety protocols.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Directly related experience with device research and application. 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks as well as set and meet deadlines.
- Able to work carefully, accurately and consistently with instruction or from protocol.
- Proficiency in math, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Internet searches required as well as knowledge of computer hardware and printers.
- Ability to report problems and work with others to troubleshoot problems.
- Ability to work with small devices and micro flow systems.
