Job Description

Pay: $20/hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; flexible 4 hours each day; hybrid work opportunity. Temporary position anticipated through November 2025.

This position is eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. All employees may also make pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) contributions to our retirement plan - must be 18 years of age to participate.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Specialist I, Retail and Operations Recruiting plays a key role in attracting and engaging talent to support the success of Goodwill of Colorado's Retail Sales and Operations Divisions. This high-volume recruiting position is responsible for managing hiring efforts across an assigned region. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative partner to hiring managers, a proactive relationship builder, and a champion of inclusive hiring practices that ensure compliance with organizational policies and values.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Work directly with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs.
  • Utilize Goodwill of Colorado's ticketing system to receive and respond efficiently to recruiting action requests from hiring managers to include but not limited to: requisition, offer letter, onboarding, candidate support, and manager support requests. Identify potential candidates through appropriate sourcing and screening based on position to fill and forward to hiring managers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, workforce centers, educational institutions, and other referral sources, to include attending events and networking.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and responsiveness to dynamic operational needs to best serve the Sales and Operations Divisional, to include hiring events and store visits.
  • Support broader Human Resources (HR) initiatives, including staffing satellite locations and participating in cross-functional projects.
  • Guide candidates through the recruitment process, from job application to pre-employment background screening.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers and assist with on-site interviews as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of creative and innovative recruiting strategies.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and shifting priorities with flexibility and resilience.
  • Stay up to date and ensure compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Affirmative Action, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and State of Colorado posting requirements, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the hiring process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:



  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required; some college is preferred.


Experience:



  • 3 years minimum of high-volume recruiting or similar experience is required.
  • At least 1 year of recruiting or HR experience working with Affirmative Action, EEOC, and ADA is preferred.
  • At least 1 year utilizing an on-line Human Resources Information System (HRIS)/Applicant Tracking System (ATS); UKG HRIS/Recruiting ATS is preferred.


Other:



  • Strong computer skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ATS; experience with UKG - ATS is preferred.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills, adaptable to diverse audiences and interaction styles.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact with various types of internal and external customers and relate effectively to those with disabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to follow through with high volume recruiting and building talent pipelines.
  • Work effectively with diverse people including persons with disabilities and disadvantages, people at all levels of the company, outside community partners, vendors, job applicants and candidates.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor appropriate for diverse workplace settings.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry, processes, and reporting.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Overtime and weekend hours may be required; flexibility in schedule as well as some travel to attend meetings, hiring events, and onsite support.
  • The incumbent will be required and must have the ability to drive for company business*.


*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least:



  • 19 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
  • 25 - 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services,
  • 21 years of age for CDL.


Applicants/employee will be required to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; applicants/employees must disclose all moving traffic violations or vehicle crashes (within the last five (5) years)(Note: not all violations are a disqualification for employment and each case will be reviewed by the insurance carrier); must have valid Colorado State driver license; must also be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing vehicle operation.

Applicants/employees using their personal vehicle for company business (receiving company mileage reimbursement), must have valid vehicle insurance, valid driver license, and vehicle must be in roadworthy condition.
