However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Minimum Experience/Education |
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- One year of full-time experience working in higher education or a relevant field
- Strong administrative and interpersonal skills required

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: |
- Master's degree in counseling, higher education, or related discipline from an accredited university required
- Minimum of two years of experience in higher education or a relevant field is required.
- Experience working with programs that foster student success is strongly preferred.
- Experience in student leadership development.
- Experience supporting students on academic probation or experiencing academic difficulty.

Duties and Responsibilities |
The
SOS Peer Mentor Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the
SOS Peer Mentoring Program. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Recruiting, training, supervising, developing, and evaluating 20-30 undergraduate Peer Mentors and 3 graduate assistants each semester.
- Overseeing the development of academic skills training materials and tracking of Peer Mentors meeting College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) certification standards.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for current and prospective students regarding program services.
- Promoting SOS Peer Mentoring across campus.
- Supporting other UCAE activities as needed.
