At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. Job Title: Tactical Systems Business Development Manager Responsibilities include: *Identifying, qualifying and determining the appropriate strategy topursue and capture new business opportunities with current and newcustomers in Gov't, DoD and/or with prime defense contractors. *Working to achieve new business goals which increase market shareand profitability for products and/or services - goals will include both follow onwork with existing customers and with developing new customers *Working with the Director of Business Development for TacticalSystems, other Business Development members, and Program Managementstaff to develop and execute short and long term plans and programs toprosecute new opportunities and ensure profit growth and expansion ofmarket share *Formulating capture strategies and providing hands onleadership/guidance to multi-disciplined capture team. Strategies will bedocumented and monitored for execution. *Researching, analyzing and monitoring financial, technical, anddemographic factors so that opportunities may be capitalized on and thenegative effects of competitive activity can be minimized. Tracking customerbudgets, timelines, and spending profiles is required. *Be personally engaged in specific opportunity captures that includesbut limited to customer visits, trade shows, and pertinent conferences. *Have regular customer contact to develop and maintain intimacy withtheir programs, needs, gaps, and opportunities and be proficient at identifyinghow to satisfy those gaps in a manner that benefits all parties. *Recommending profitable pricing/proposal/marketing strategies forproducts, services and programs Education, skills, experience, and characteristics required: * Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Business or Information Technology withtechnical background) from a four-year college or university * Minimum 4 years' experience with DOD systems and/or acquisition processin the DOD * 8 years of directly related industry experience in business development * Solid, proven experience with military tactical communication systems andgovernment business development * Strong knowledge of military standards, acquisition and proposal processes * Strong written and verbal business communication skills * Strong, demonstrated, presentation and business writing skills * Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Ability/willingness to travel as required (mostly regional, but non local up to50%) * Current secret level security clearance is preferred Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
