About the role:

As a Data Privacy Manager, Americas you will work with teams and corporate center functions to ensure understanding between compliance goals and our priorities. You will maintain, communicating Westinghouse's privacy program while promoting compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws. The Manager will lead internal outreach programs and important projects regarding Westinghouse's cross border transfer mechanisms, latest program requirements, and strategic tools for the privacy program. You will manage Westinghouse's United States and Canada program but will support the Global Program.

You will report to the Chief Privacy Officer and be 100% REMOTE.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Use recognized expertise to take ownership of aspects of the data privacy compliance program to support adherence of employees and vendors to Westinghouse privacy requirements. Ensure data privacy program supports with Westinghouse strategy and our goals.



  • Develop procedures of Westinghouse's privacy programs following applicable data privacy laws. Develop tools to ensure business processes and data exchanges follow global procedures.



  • Critically evaluate program risks and exposures and manage other professionals, to implement mitigation strategies



  • Lead important privacy and projects and document privacy risks, providing transparency to all partners.



  • Work with several partners across the globe to support Westinghouse's privacy goals.



  • Manage, investigate, and document privacy incidents, accomplish special investigations and inquiries



  • Help support Westinghouse's AI Governance Program




Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience



  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Privacy, plus experience in technology policy or compliance/risk management roles.



  • Must be seen as an expert in Data Privacy and able to operate beyond own national borders, APP practitioner certification or similar



  • Experience in the technology industry or experience understanding technologies




We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
