The UVA Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging is seeking a full-time Radiology Fellowship Programs Administrator to join the Department's Medical Education Team. The incumbent will coordinate day-to-day operations of the programs and serve as an important liaison with Program Directors, trainees, Department leadership, education team members, School of Medicine, UVA Clinical Staff Office, GME, the ACGME, and faculty. In addition, the Radiology Fellowship Administrator will participate as an integral member of the Education Team and provide support that is critical to the success of the programs.
Position responsibilities include: Fellowships: In partnership with the other Fellowship Program Administrator, the incumbent will coordinate the Department's seven fellowship programs, including three ACGME accredited fellowship programs. The incumbent will assist program directors in day-to-day operations, support training needs of the fellows, and submit information for compliance and accreditation requirements. In addition, the Fellowship Program Administrator will be knowledgeable of ACGME and program requirements, policies, and procedures. Other major responsibilities include coordinating the department's recruitment and hiring functions, preparing faculty and resident evaluation reports, coordinating the onboarding and offboarding process, and performing administrative activities for programs using the New Innovations system (such as managing fellowship rotations, overseeing duty hours, and coordinating evaluations). Clinical Instructors: In addition to GME fellows, the Department's fellowship programs include clinical instructors, which are one-year tenure-ineligible clinical faculty positions. The Fellowship Program Administrator supports the programs for Clinical Instructors during recruitment, onboarding, fellowship administration, and offboarding, which requires coordinating with Program Directors, School of Medicine, UPG, UVA Medical Center, Clinical Staff Office (CSO), and other internal and external contacts. The Fellowship Program Administrator will work closely with the Clinical Staff Office, Program Directors, and instructors to ensure all clinical instructors have the required credentialling and are issued privileges needed for the work they will perform. The Fellowship Program Administrator also ensures that Clinical Instructors obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and other required training credentials. Other responsibilities: The Fellowship Program Administrator will have other responsibilities that include preparing VISAs for incoming fellowship trainees; coordinating the monthly intersession Career Exploration Program for 3rd Year Medical Students; supporting the process for bringing in observers and mentees; and assisting the ABR Alternative pathway coordinator with preparing and processing documents for International Management Graduates. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is a restricted position, and continuation is dependent on performance and available funding. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule of two days on campus per week, with additional on-site presence as needed, in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
