The Opportunity

Join the Adobe Express Branding team in a leadership role that shapes how brands come to life in creative workflows. You will guide a talented team of engineers whose work empowers users from small businesses to large enterprises to build on-brand content at scale with the simplicity and speed Adobe Express is known for.

You will lead a collaborative, fast-paced team passionate about launching features like Rapid Brand from Upload, Auto-recommend Palettes, On-brand Editor Defaults, and Apply Brand. Our mission is to make brand consistency effortless and intelligent across every creative moment.

We are seeking a hands-on, highly technical leader with strong collaboration and communication skills. You will bring clarity to ambiguity, coach teams through technical challenges, and scale systems that enable impactful brand experiences. While your primary focus will be on building resilient, high-quality brand systems, experience with LLMs, AI/ML integration, and working with research teams to bring cutting-edge ideas into production will set you apart.

What You'll Do

  • You will lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers building core brand features for Adobe Express.
  • You will drive technical strategy, planning, and execution across multiple platforms in partnership with product and design.
  • You will foster a culture of quality, innovation, and accountability, balancing speed of delivery with long-term platform health.
  • You will ensure clarity in requirements and alignment across teams by digging into prior decisions, surfacing edge cases, and connecting dots across product areas.
  • You will partner with other engineering leaders across time zones to set roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver cross-cutting initiatives.
  • You will guide architecture reviews, design discussions, and debugging sessions to ensure resilient and scalable solutions.
  • You will provide technical coaching and feedback to help engineers advance in their careers.
  • You will stay close to customer and business needs to ensure engineering execution delivers real impact.
  • You will apply AI and LLM expertise where appropriate to drive intelligent brand experiences, personalization, and scalable automation.
  • You will collaborate with research teams to translate novel AI/ML innovations into practical and production-ready solutions.

What You Need to Succeed

  • You bring a strong technical foundation with a product-minded approach to engineering leadership.
  • You have 10 or more years of experience building complex, production-grade web applications using modern JavaScript and TypeScript, with at least 5 years leading teams.
  • You have deep expertise in component architecture, separation of concerns, and scalable UI systems.
  • You have demonstrated ability to lead teams through ambiguity, bringing structure and execution clarity where direction is evolving.
  • You have experience managing engineers in distributed or cross-geo environments.
  • You are an excellent communicator who can translate between technical and non-technical partners with clarity and empathy.
  • You have a proven record of delivering high-impact features through collaboration with Product, Design, and peer Engineering teams.
  • You hold a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI platforms, and AI/ML integration in enterprise-grade software is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with research teams and applying AI/ML advances to product development is also highly valuable.

Bonus Points

  • Experience managing teams working in large-scale front-end monorepos with modularization and reuse best practices.
  • Familiarity with modern build and packaging tools such as npm, Webpack, or Bazel.
  • Background in Node.js services and integration with frameworks like Express.js.
  • Strong focus on quality and adept at driving test automation practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience leading Agile or SCRUM teams with proven success managing distributed or cross-geo teams.
  • Background in deploying AI/ML pipelines into production, integrating with cloud platforms, or applying AI to creative workflows.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $143,700 -- $289,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
